When powder paints are transported through air, they undergo electrostatic charging. Typically, this charge is neutralized through grounding.
However, conventional plastic powder hoses do not allow for this grounding process. To address this issue, the new powder hose features an electrically conductive carbon strip that disperses this frictional charge buildup.
Our powder hose is grounded using an integrated grounding strip, and will terminate with the powder injector or through the powder gun handle, thus dispersing the charge.
This particular powder hose is included with new SpectraCoat powder coating systems and is available for purchase by the foot.
